For my nonna making pasta was never only about food.
It meant gathering the whole family around one big table, caring for everyone with a simple dish made with love, and spending real time together.
Whether she was making pasta on her own or teaching me step by step beside her, her mission was always the same: to make sure those traditions and precious moments would never disappear.

What began around my nonna’s table continued around ours.
Over the years we have welcomed 5000+ people from all over the world into our home in Verona for our Pasta Class. Together we've shared stories, passed on my Nonna's pasta-making secrets, got our hands covered in flour and, most importantly, gathered around the same table to enjoy everything we have created, just like a big Italian family.

Now, that table continues growing also online through the Pasta Lovers House.

We are Vallì & Dave, the most entertaining pasta-experts from Verona, Italy. We are pastatarians, because we make pasta (and eat) pasta every single day.
Vallì turned her healing journey into a mission: bringing people back to the magic of homemade pasta in modern times to help the real Italian pasta traditions to keep stay alive.
Dave He has the hardest job ever, he has to ensure that all the pasta shapes and sauce taste good and reflects the perfect tasting standard to be shared. The official dough-taster, pasta-shaping apprentice, and your friendly sidekick in this adventure.
Together, we've taught 5000+ people from all over the world how to make pasta from scratch and share it with the family, even if they had zero experience, limited time, limited space or no fancy tools.
Now, with the Pasta Lover House, we’re bringing that same joy and knowledge into your home.
This is more than a community. A place where you learn, laugh, knead, and grow.

Italian pasta is much more than just spaghetti or penne from the supermarket.
In Italy there are more than 400 unique pasta shapes and over 1,000 different names, each connected to a region, a family and a story that has been passed down for generations.
Yet today, many of these traditions are slowly disappearing.
Modern life has become busier. Fewer people learn to make pasta from their parents or grandparents, and many traditional pasta shapes and family recipes are no longer prepared at home. Instead, they're replaced by convenience, often without knowing where they came from, why they were created or what makes them unique.
At the same time, the internet is full of mixed, incomplete and sometimes inaccurate information about Italian food.
How often you hear things like: "Never break spaghetti"; "Alfredo sauce isn't an Italian sauce";
But very few people stop to explain why.
Inside the Pasta Fam we are going deeper.
- Why Italians don't break spaghetti ?
- Why can't I find spaghetti with meatballs in Italy?
- Why shouldn't throw spaghetti on the wall?
- Why are linguine different from fettuccine?
- Why does every pasta shape have its own purpose?
- Why my pasta dough is sticky one day and dry the other?
- Why there are some many pasta dough recipes?
- Why are there more than 400 pasta shapes?
- Where the Alfredo Sauce comes from?
- Why homemade pasta is better than store-bought?
- Why some Cavatelli has ridges and other not?
We believe traditions only become meaningful when we understand the stories behind them.
That's why the Pasta Fam isn't just about sharing recipes. It's about discovering the history, culture and traditions that have shaped authentic Italian homemade pasta for centuries.
It's about understanding not only how Italians make pasta...but why we make it that way.
Because once you understand the why, you're no longer just following a recipe. You're preserving a culture. You're keeping a tradition alive. And you're helping pass it on to the next generation.

Yes! We're Vallì, born in Mantua, & Dave, born in Milan, both born and raised in Italy.
Since 2019 we've welcomed more than 5,000 guests into our home in Verona, sharing authentic nonna's secrets about homemade pasta with new friends from all over the world. Today we're opening that same home online through the Pasta Fam.
Because pasta has evolved differently in every Italian region. Local ingredients, family traditions, family wealth, and regional recipes have created an incredible variety of shapes over centuries. Today, Italy has more than 400 pasta shapes and over 1,000 different names, making pasta one of the richest culinary traditions in the world.
Because Italy isn't made of one single tradition. Every region, and sometimes even neighbouring villages, developed their own names, recipes and techniques. The very same pasta shape may have a completely different name depending on where you are.
Discovering these stories is part of what makes Italian homemade pasta so fascinating.
The internet is full of simplified or incomplete information about Italian food. Many famous "Italian" recipes have changed over time as they travelled around the world. Inside the Pasta Fam, we love exploring the real stories behind these traditions, not to judge how people cook, but to explain where recipes come from and why they evolved.
Because homemade pasta is about much more than food. It's about slowing down. Bringing family and friends around the table.
Sharing traditions. Creating memories. And making sure these authentic Italian traditions continue for generations to come.

The Pastatarian Club is where you can start or continue your pasta-making journey. Where you actually help to keep the Italian Homemade Pasta Traditions alive while learning how to master like a nonna all the 400+ authentic homemade pasta shapes, step by step, with us at your side.
Some join because they love Pasta.
Some want to discover the real traditions behind authentic Italian homemade pasta.
Some are curious about the stories behind every pasta shape, every recipe and every region.
